HOW TO DO A CAR PAINT RESTORATION ON A FADED TRIM

Over time, your pride and joy can look a little worse for wear. Long exposure to UV rays can cause your exterior plastic and rubber trim to lose its vibrant appearance and look faded and dull. Luckily, it’s easy to restore plastic trim with a Trim Restoration product formulated to renew the colour and gleam, while also adding a protective layer to prevent further dulling for long-lasting shine. RESTORE FADED PLASTIC TRIM ON OLDER OR WEATHERED CARS

Step 1:

Wash your vehicle to clean the trim. Try our M.A.X.-Power Car Wash for a powerful and safe cleaning.

Step 2:

Use a microfibre towel or foam applicator to apply our Black in a Flash Trim and Tyre Wax gel onto the trim.
Working in a side-to-side, overlapping motion, spread the product evenly to the entire trim surface.
Wait about 10 minutes for the product to dry, to avoid dripping or streaking. If you have chosen to use the aerosol spray instead, you can spray directly onto the trim and wait only 1 minute to dry.
Important to note: These products are formulated solely for your vehicle’s rubber and plastic trim, not for the paint.

Step 3:

You can safely add 2 to 3 extra layers if you wish. Doing so will add additional protection and further darken the trim back to its former vibrant black appearance.
If you wish to further darken the colour on your black trim to its former vibrance, you can safely add 2 to 3 extra layers, while also adding even more protection.
We recommend reapplying Black in a Flash on a seasonal schedule, as it will last for several months.
